ANASTASIA DIPBROW POMADE IN EBONY: REVIEW & SWATCHES

(Transfered from old blogsite)

I finally got my hands on this little baby! I have been lusting after this since the moment it came out, and since then all I’ve heard is how life changing this product is. Well, as life changing as an eyebrow pomade can be. Before I continue my rambling, let’s see what the official description claims.

Waterproof brow color ideal for sculpting, defining, and carving perfectly precise brows that won’t fade. Smudge-free, creamy formula glides on skin and adheres to hair. Must-have for oily skin and humid climates.

I have to say that the Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade definitely lives up to its claim. This little guy isn’t coming off until you want it off! To my complete surprise, it really doesn’t smudge at all. That little detail is super important considering where I live, temperatures are already to 100 degrees, and its only April…
It’s pretty obvious that I need products that will survive the long days of the California summer, and this is definitely becoming a “holy grail” item. I have yet to test the “waterproof” claim to this, but you best believe me, an update on this statement will be coming soon, as it is just about that time to spend most of my days submerged in the water.Anastasia Dipbrow1
Another bonus is that this thing will last you forever, seriously, you need the tiniest amount! The consistency is like a mouse, its a bit thicker than a gel eyeliner. You do want to be careful when tapping your angled liner brush (I do literally mean tap, its very pigmented) into the pot, because its always easier to add more than to add too much from the get go. No one needs Groucho Marx brows…I mean, unless that’s your thing…
Then you go Glenn Coco!

Can we just stare in awe of how perfect this shade is for people with dark brown/black eyebrows? If any of you guys have naturally black eyebrows then you will feel my pain on this one. I quite literally have black eyebrow hair, so it looks really weird if I use any of the multitudes of “dark brown” eyebrow powers/pencils because it just looks sooo obviously fake, and straight up black is generally way too harsh and intense. This  is the perfect middle-ground shade. It is a very dark almost-black brown that blends into black eyebrows without looking too harsh and severe.
On a side note, I just wanted to give a shoutout to the lovely website I bought this from, Beautylish.com. I have always had amazing service and quality with them, not to mention super fast shipping.
How adorable is this little note? They always send a handwritten note in your package with your makeup items that are always securely and safely packed! I always enjoy ordering from them!
